Choropleth is based on registered voters, not party preference, electoral outcomes, population-adjusted participation or county precinct boundaries. Color intensity uses a common scale for all selected counties within the current view. The map uses Census cartographic counties.
Historical Candidate Margins
County-level two-party vote share, sourced from the Legislative Council’s standardized voter-tabulation-district files. These are derived county aggregates, not certified canvass totals.

Map colors indicate relative two-party vote margin (R vs D), not a forecast or current election result. Swing is 2024 minus 2020 Democratic two-party share, in percentage points. Minor-party votes are excluded from the two-party denominator. Legislative Council figures may differ from certified canvasses.

Three counties have independently sourced 2022 and 2024 historical turnout records in this dataset. Missing counties are not estimated or filled using candidate vote totals.
